Q: What is Manga and Anime?
A: Manga and Anime-Japanese comic books and animation-are more popular than ever in the United States. Manga and Anime can cover any genre, from Sci-Fi to Fantasy to Horror to simple magic of everyday life.

Q: What activities will we have?
A: The basis of each meeting will be creating an original work of art using the manga style as a jumping of point. We will also learn about the history of Manga and Anime, discuss favorites with our friends, and even learn a little about Japanese language and culture!

Q: Who is the sponsor?
A: Ohayo! I'm Ms. Dismukes, the art teacher! I have loved comics and cartoons all my life. As Manga and Anime grew in popularity in the U.S., so did my interest! My educational background is both in Language Arts and Visual Arts, so I am continually impressed by both the richness of storytelling and the stunning visuals that can be found in many Manga and Anime.
