The SGA gives the students a chance to
be part of a student led government. It works toward the development and
promotion of school spirit, student moral, pride in school, good
faculty-student relations, student relations among themselves, and the
betterment of the school-community relations. The SGA also provides a forum
for students’ expression.
The membership in this Association
shall be made up of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and
16 Representatives.
The selection of Representatives and
Officers shall be as follows
Representatives
?
Candidates for membership will turn in a completed
application by the specified deadline.
?
Students’ applications will be ranked by SGA sponsors and
the top ten students from each grade and three alternates from each grade
will be selected. An identification number, rather then a name will be used
to identify applicants in order for the candidates to remain anonymous
during the selection process.
?
After the members have been selected, an academic check
will be preformed. Members must have and maintain a C average in each class
to earn membership. If, after an academic check, a student does not meet the
grade requirement, an alternate will be selected in respective order from
the alternates list.

A finalized list of SGA members, along with the three
alternates will be posted in a timely manner on the sponsors’ doors.
Officers
?
In order to become an eligible candidate for office, one
must be a member of SGA in good standing. A petition must be completed and
turned in to the SGA sponsor by the specified deadline.
?
The President shall be a member of the ninth grade and must
have and maintain no less then a B average in each class. Persons running
for the office of president must have served previously on the SGA.
?
The Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer may be a member
of either grade but must have and maintain no less then a C average in each
class.
?
The members of SGA will elect officers using majority vote.
